Joe Walton for Congress Statement on Pittsburgh Hate Crime Murders and ‘Florida Bomber’ Domestic Terrorism

Joe is outraged by today’s Pittsburgh hate crime murders and the still-wrapping up ‘Florida Bomber’ Domestic Terrorism

Powhatan, Virginia:. We are watching in horror as another mass casualty event has occurred in Pittsburgh and the ‘Florida Bomber’ domestic terrorism is still wrapping up.

Joe Walton states unequivocally: ”Senseless acts or attempts of violence in the name of politics or religion or any other aspect of society among free-thinking people of good conscience should not be tolerated.”

He believes the full force and weight of our government should be brought to bear to keep irresponsible people from harming our citizens.  Joe has spoken about gun violence (videos below) and those comments apply equally and particularly to all mass casualty weapons.

Joe added: “Pro-gun folks don’t give an inch and then pipe bombs show up, and anti-gun folks want to take all the guns, and then pipe bombs show up.  We need common sense reforms for better social services and law enforcement links to prevent all kinds of violence against innocent individuals.”
